Winter rallycross action will return to the UK this year at Lydden Hill Race Circuit, with the new Winter RX Series.
Starting next month on 9th November, winter rallycross will be revived by the home of rallycross for the first time in many years. Taking a trip back into the history of the sport, which traditionally ran throughout the year, the new four round Winter RX Series will hold two rounds before Christmas, on 9th November and 7th December, with two more dates to be added for early 2020.
Regulations will fall in line with those used currently in the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship and BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship, with classes split into four-wheel-drive, two-wheel-drive over 1600cc, two-wheel-drive under 1600cc, Retro/Classic and Junior.
Events will be held throughout the middle of the day, within daylight hours, starting at 10.30am and concluding at 16.00pm. Schedules will include Free Practice, three qualifying sessions and finals. Entry fees will be around £145, and all days are currently provisional.
Spectators will be granted free access to our newly improved, heated hospitality suite where you can enjoy winter street food and hot drinks. Spectator tickets will be available to purchase soon with under 13's coming in FREE!
