The release of the 2019 events calendar sets Lydden Hill Race Circuit up for an exciting and unforgettable year of racing, festivals and events. Expanding on the back of a successful year in 2018 Lydden will continue to host a wide range of events at the one mile, mixed surface circuit on two, three and four wheels.
Traditionally, the first of two visits from the MSA Toyo Tires British Rallycross Championship will get the season underway returning to a two day event on the 21st and 22nd of April.
Celebrating its 11th anniversary, the BHP show will take place on the 6th of May, followed by the first time we are welcoming the Historic Racing Drivers Club to the circuit for the HRDC Historic Festival on the 27th of May which is formally known as the Lydden Hill Classic Festival.
The Borough 19 Motor Club will kick start a memorable summer in the 2019 season with a club sprint on the 15th of June followed by the VMCC Vintage Motorcyle Racing Club making their descend on the historic Lydden Hill circuit on the 22nd and 23rd of June. Crowds will see The Borough 19 Motor Club return again on the 13th of July for another thrilling sprint.
The 2019 season will experience the UK round of The Global Rallycross International Series will astonish thousands at the Home of Rallycross on the 27th and 28th of July, please visit the news page for more details.
August will see the third Rallycross event of the year, being the Toyo Tires British Rallycross Championship returning on the 25th and 26th of August for an action packed bank holiday weekend, followed by the Toyo Tires BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship on the 28th of September.
October will be an action packed month for all motor sport fans, including the return of the world famous 'Bike Shed', after their hair-raising Café Racer Cup in 2017 they will be expanding the event like never seen before and will be hosting the Bike Shed Festival on the 5th and 6th of October. The 12th of October will see the Classic and Modern Festival at Lydden Hill for the first time, proving that club motor sport is alive more than ever before. The Lord of Lydden was an astonishing event in 2018 and we are proud to revive the two and three wheeled event again in 2019, with Danny Webb holding the current title as 'Lord of Lydden' Will he be able to defend his title on the 26th and 27th of October?
With Motormania ft. Fireworks being a season finale event, 2019's Motormania will go off with a bang with one of Kents most famous firework displays and a variation of motorsport disciplines and night time motorsport displays, with plenty to see and do on and off track this is the best way to wave the 2019 season goodbye and welcome the 2020 season.
Throughout 2019 there will still be many opportunities to take to the circuit on both the car and bike trackdays, Sideways Saturdays and experience days, with the refreshed format for track days some will include Oval Racing provided to you by the Rolling Thunder Show.
