ARD’s testing now available at Lydden

25 October, 2017

Lydden Hill Race Circuit has formed an exciting partnership with The Motorsports School to be able to offer ARDS testing at the circuit on selected dates throughout 2018.

The ARD’s testing that will be offered throughout the year is the required course for candidates to acquire, if successful, their MSA National ‘B’ race licence. The National ‘B’ licence is the minimum requirement for you to be able to compete in car circuit racing throughout the UK.

Any candidate looking to obtain their race licence must first purchase their MSA Go Racing starter pack from www.msauk.org for £100 which will include a licence application form and Go Racing DVD along with the first years licence fee. Anyone over the age of 18 will be required to have a medical examination with a doctor who will then complete the medical section of the application form. Once this is complete the candidate will then be able to book an ARD’s test at Lydden Hill by contacting the Motorsports School on 01455 502412.

Then the fun begins! Candidates will come down to Lydden Hill where they will be directed to the Arthur Debenham tower to begin the ARD'S course. The course will consist of Classroom briefing, Go Racing DVD and Written multiple choice exam followed by a driving assessment.

All selected dates will be offered alongside Lydden Hill car track days, which are usually Saturdays, with discounted rates for track time available to any candidate looking to experience the track before their booked ARD’s course. Pre-ARD’s sessions are also available from the Motorsports school for anyone who would like some extra tuition/training before their ARD's assessment.

Although it is an assessment, the Motorsports School pride themselves on keeping all clients calm and relaxed leading to the best results and an enjoyable day! The team at Lydden Hill Race Circuit are looking forward to welcoming candidates to begin their racing carer at the iconic Kent circuit.
