Weekend Chef

Job Location - Lydden Hill Race Circuit

We are seeking an experienced Fast Food Cook to join our dynamic catering team. This role is ideal for someone who can handle high-volume cooking in a fast-paced environment, and ensures quality and efficiency at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh meats, chips, and other fast food items using griddles, grills, and fryers.
  • Maintain a quick turnaround time while upholding food quality and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Adhere to hygiene and food safety regulations, ensuring cleanliness at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to manage peak service hours effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar fast-paced cooking environment is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking skills to handle high-volume orders efficiently.
  • Hygiene & Safety Awareness: A minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification is required.
  • Weekend Availability: Must be available for occasional weekend shifts (8-10 hours per day).

Cleaning Staff

We are seeking reliable cleaners to join our team at the race circuit. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in public and staff areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, floors, taps, mirrors, and touchpoints throughout the circuit.
  • Replenish supplies such as toilet rolls, soap, and hand towels.
  • Maintain cleanliness in men’s and women’s restrooms.
  • Assist with cleaning offices and kitchen areas when required.
  • Work efficiently, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Requirements:

  • Weekend availability is essential, with shifts required on 1-2 days per weekend throughout the season, including bank holidays.
  • Availability for occasional Friday shifts, particularly before major events, with some early evening work when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Extra staff will be available to assist on busy event days.

Admission Staff

Paddock Marshal

We are looking for a Paddock Marshal to join our team, providing essential support at events. This role requires individuals who are reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe operation of the Race Paddock at events, reporting to the Paddock Supervisor as required.
  • Act as a point of information for our customers directing them as appropriate.
  • Respond to Paddock incidents and liaising with the Paddock Supervisor and Senior Management as appropriate.
  • Being able to work with your own initiative.
  • Driving Licence due to location of the site.

Requirements:

  • Weekend availability is essential, with early starts and occasional late finishes.
  • Some Friday shifts may be required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Be friendly and approachable with good communication skills.
  • Reliability.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.

This role will have sporadic hours throughout the year, therefore this role would suit people just looking for ad-hoc work.
