The Lydden Legend Festival will return in July 2026, following its successful debut last year. Born as a sister event to the renowned Loheac Legend Festival in France, the Lydden edition carries the same spirit: celebrating the machines and stories that shaped rallycross from its earliest days to its golden eras.
Held at Lydden Hill, the original home of rallycross since 1967, the festival is focused entirely on historic rallycross and rally machinery. Working in collaboration with the Rallycross Legends Show, led by concept creator Philippe Tollemer, and Loheac’s Patrick Germain and team, the 2026 edition will once again feature a packed weekend of track action and up-close access to some of the most iconic cars and drivers in the sport.
The on-track programme will span multiple classes, including appearances from Group B cars, classic 4WD legends, and entries from the Retro Rallycross Championship. Alongside the rallycross demonstration races, cars from the wider world of rallying will also run timed intervals on both the rallycross and tarmac layouts.
Off the track, the event remains fully open to fans. A walkable paddock, car club displays, and rare machinery on show provide full access to the history and culture of the sport. It all begins with a Welcome Gala on Friday, followed by two full days of action and celebration.
Led by Pat Doran and the Lydden team, we’re inviting drivers and owners to join us again in 2026. If you’d like to register interest in attending with your car, please fill in the details below to stay in the loop as to when the final date is confirmed.
Lydden Hill is just 15 kilometres from Dover, and discounted ferry packages will once again be available for international entries.
