The Lydden Thunder 650

Watch the finest Oval racers take to the track in this one day spectacular!

The Lydden Thunder 650 will be making its first appearance on the Lydden Hill calendar, celebrating some of the best oval racing has to offer with racing from the Kent Outlaw Oval Club, National Outlaws, European Late Model ASCAR Series, the ProGrand UK series and more!

The Kent Outlaws are a frequent regular at the circuit with Lydden Hill being their home track, making use of the fastest oval track in the UK! They visit the circuit running several formulas of racing and fly very much under the radar for how exciting their brand of racing can be.

The European Late Model series is a returning favourite from the Custom Cup of years gone by. These guys will be in their V8 ASCARS (similar to USA NASCARS) and will race the oval in the opposite direction to everyone else. But make no mistake, these guys will be pushing the pace from the green light.

We’re also very lucky to have the ProGrand UK series in attendance for this event. A series that may be visiting more regularly in 2025, they will be running a series of demonstration races to give us a taste of what these purpose-build machines can do.

Throughout the day we will also be hosting a public track session. This is a rare opportunity for trackday fanatics to be on the circuit as championship racing takes place. Spaces are extremely limited so click the button below to enter!
