The Custom Cup at Lydden Hill is back for 2022 and it’s back with a bang!

The Custom Cup is a celebration of everything custom, whether it be classic American cars, custom bikes, rare classics or anything in between, join us for this summer festival for automotive expression at the historic Lydden Hill Race Circuit!

Saturday – Race Day

On Saturday the 23rd of July, the first day of the Custom Cup, you can expect a packed programme of circuit racing from the Classic & Modern Motorsport Club (CMMC) as well as the Pickup Racing championship.

CMMC will be treating us to three classes including the wide arched, high power Super Saloons, the custom built, all-grip Intermarque Silhouettes and the highly competitive Tin Tops. Each class provides exhilarating door-to-door racing and a true spectacle for the spectator.

We’ll also be joined by the Pickup Racing Championship, with 20 teams running purpose-built 230hp racing pickups, at only 900kg these 2 litre spaceframe pickups put all the emphasis on driver skill, racing within an inch of one another with no room to spare.

Sunday – No Prep Competition & Public Tracktime

With the circuit racing complete on Saturday, we’ll now move the fan favourite No Prep event, a sprint race similar to a drag race going in a straight line, starting from Paddock Bend with the finish line 3/4 of the way up the hill with plenty of stopping room before the circuit begins to curve.

The No Prep will see cars of all ages, power trains and drivers take on the course. From highly modified Japanese imports, to classic American muscle, to the latest and greatest in speed technology from the likes of Audi and BMW.

The whole weekend!

You can expect unique displays of anything and everything custom and/or interesting, we have had military tanks, custom mopeds, Group-B rally legends, British classics and everything in between.
There will be an excellent selection of food and drink, with bar onsite and Lydden catering which uses only locally sourced, fresh meat and bread from our local butcher and baker!

You can also expect plenty for the kids with entertainment around the circuit for the whole event, including a full funfair, photo opportunities with your favourite characters and more!
