Admission Staff

Closing Date - 31/07/2018

Job Location - Lydden Hill Race Circuit

You Will Be:

  • Welcoming visitors to Lydden Hill.
  • Selling tickets and programmes on the gate.
  • Checking of admission tickets presented on the gate.
  • Ensuring no persons enter the venue without a valid ticket for the event.
  • Cash handling which requires trustworthiness.
  • Good customer service skills
  • Polite
  • Well presented
  • Reliable
  • Working under own intitiative

Due to the location of the venue a driving licence is recommended.

Hours will vary dependent on the event.

This is an event role and therefore hours will be ad-hoc depending on the requirements of the circuit.

Salary: £5.90 to £7.83 /hour

Paddock Marshall

Job Location - Lydden Hill Race Circuit

You Will:

  • Oversee the safe operation of the Race Paddock at events, reporting to the Paddock Supervisor as required.
  • Act as a point of information for our customers directing them as appropriate.
  • Respond to Paddock incidents and liaising with the Paddock Supervisor and Senior Management as appropriate.
  • Being able to work with your own initiative.
  • Be friendly and approachable with good communication skills.
  • Reliability.
  • Driving Licence due to location of the site.

This role is only when we have events on at the circuit so would suit people just looking for ad-hoc work.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £50.00 per day

Paddock Supervisor

Closing Date - 31/07/2018

Job Location - Lydden Hill Race Circuit

You Will:

  • Oversee the safe operations of the paddock during events;
  • Manage team of paddock marshals ensuring the effectiveness of these staff in maintaining a safe paddock at all times.
  • Assist organisers in the implementation of the event paddock layout plans. This will include the afternoon of the day before the event.
  • Respond to problems in the paddock as the circuit’s first line of response, assessing and taking action or escalating to management as required.
  • Provide good customer service to any members of the public you come in to contact with.
  • Any other duties the management feel relate tot the role of Paddock Supervisor

Due to the location of the venue and the late hours, own transport is required.

Hours will be discussed with candidates but will include the afternoon of the day before events and on the day of the events

Track Safety Marshals

Job Location - Lydden Hill Race Circuit

We are seeking bright and energetic people who are able to work as part of a large team and dedicated to providing our customers with a safe and enjoyable days high speed motorsport.

Working as a Track Safety Marshal you will need to enjoy working outdoors in an exciting and busy environment. Duties include mainly marshalling, but may include other duties are required.

Experience, skills or qualifications in these areas would be useful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Please note: Before marshalling you will be required to spend a day on the bank with one of our current marshals. This is part of the recruitment process and is compulsory for all applicants. This observation day is unpaid.

You must be able to work occasional Saturdays, Sundays and weekdays to cover events that are running.

Due to the nature of our business, events only take place on selected days which will be advised through an availability form, therefore the hours are ad-hoc.

Reliability is very important within this role as failure to attend an event could result in the event not being able to take place.

Politeness is important as you may come in to contact with our customers during the events.

Due to the location of the site it is recommended you hold a full valid UK driving licence.
